Aaj Khabor (English), New Delhi, 10/05/2020 : The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to send central teams to 10 states where there is a high incidence of infection and the rate of infection is on the rise. These teams will help the state health departments to prevent the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Each team will have a senior official from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a joint secretary as a nodal officer and a public health expert. The team members will help the state health department enforce various restrictions in the infected area. The 10 states to which these teams will be sent are: -
- Gujrat
- Tamilnadu,
- Uttar Pradesh
- Delhi,
- Rajasthan
- Madhya Pradesh
- Punjab
- West Bengal
- Andhra Pradesh
- Telengana
Earlier, teams of public health experts were sent to the 20 districts of the country with the highest rate of infection, but these teams will be sent to the above-mentioned states. A high-level team has also been sent to Mumbai to help the state government prevent and manage the Kovid-19 infection.
