Aaj Khabor, New Delhi, 09/12/2019 : Citizens' Amendment Bill is going to be presented in the Lok Sabha today, despite strong opposition from the opposition parties; Minister for Parliament relation Prahlad Joshi said today, "It is for the benefit of the people of the North-East States of India and the entire country that it will be presented to both the hall in Lok Sabha today and it will be passed."
Home Minister Amit Shah will present the bill in the Lok Sabha during the Question Hour today. He has already informed that non-Muslim refugees from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh will be given a place in our country and given the citizenship of India by certain methods; That is, the refugees of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, Christian and Sikh communities will be given new citizenship in India
Citizens' Amendment Bill - 2019 states, that only non-Muslim refugees who have come to India from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan till December 31st in 2014, will be granted citizenship only, and then those who come will be considered as illegal intruders.
