Lt. Gen. Manoj Pande will be the new Commander in chief of Andaman & Nicobar

Aaj Khabor (English), Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, 01/06/2020 : Lieutenant General Manoj Pande, AVSM, VSM, will take over as the15th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN) on 01 Jun 2020" and not as rendered. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, the General Officer was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers (The Bombay Sappers) in December 1982. He is a graduate of Staff College, Camberley (United Kingdom) and attended the Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and National Defence College (NDC) at Delhi.
 During his 37 years of distinguished service, the General Officer has taken active part in Operation Vijay and Parakram. He commanded an Engineer Regiment along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir, an Engineer Brigade as part of the Strike Corps, an Infantry Brigade along the Line of Control, a Mountain Division in High Altitude Area of Western Ladakh and a Corps deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) as also in Counter Insurgency Operations area in the North East. He has tenanted important staff assignments and was posted as Chief Engineer at the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea. He was Director General at Army Headquarters dealing with subjects of Discipline, Ceremonial and Welfare, prior to assuming the present appointment.
Meanwhile Lieutenant General Podali Shankar Rajeshwar PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, the 14th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN) retired from service on 31st May 2020. He left a glorious legacy and many milestones in his distinguished career spanning four decades. He had taken over the appointment on 01 Dec 19.
During his tenure as CINCAN, Lieutenant General Rajeshwar focused on enhancing the operational preparedness of ANC. The 29th edition of the Indo-Thai Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) was successfully conducted from 13th to 21st February 2020 during his Command.  
Under Lieutenant General Rajeshwar’s directions, the personnel and assets of the Command actively coordinated and worked together with the Andaman and Nicobar Administration in dealing with the Corona pandemic and providing succour to the populace across the length and breadth of the islands.  
For his distinguished service, Lieutenant General Rajeshwar had been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) on 26th January 2020 and appointed as an Honorary Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the President of India in November 2019.

Re schedule of Howrah Bhubaneswar Express

02074/02073 Bhubaneswar-Howrah-Bhubaneswar Special Train has been notified to run from tomorrow (June 1, 2020). However, on request of Govt. of West Bengal, it has been decided that 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Special will be rescheduled to leave Howrah at 2:25 pm instead of 1:25 pm for the next seven days starting from tomorrow, informs the CPRO office of South Eastern Railway (SER).
 Consequent upon the change in departure time from Howrah, the departure from Kharagpur will be at 4:30 pm, from Jaleswar at 5:10 pm, from Balasore at 5:47 pm and from Soro at 6:12 pm in SER system.

(1) The low pressure area over Southeast and adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea & Lakshadweep area lay as well marked low pressure area over the same region at 1730 hours IST of today, the 31st May, 2020. It is very likely to concentrate into a Depression over Eastcentral and adjoining Southeast Arabian Sea during next 12 hours and likely to intensify further into a Cyclonic Storm over Eastcentral Arabian Sea during the subsequent 24 hours. It is very likely to move nearly northwards initially till 02nd June Morning and then recurve north-northeastwards and reach near north Maharashtra and south Gujarat coasts around 03rd June Morning.

(2) The Depression over south coastal Oman and adjoining Yemen moved westwards with a speed of 09 kmph during past 06 hours and lay centred at 1730 hrs IST of today, the 31st May, 2020 near latitude 17.0°N and longitude 53.0°E, about 110 km west of Salalah (Oman) and 120 km northeast of Al-Ghaydah (Yemen). It is very likely to maintain the intensity of Depression during next 12 hours and weaken gradually thereafter. It is very likely to move slowly west-southwestwards during next 24 hours.

  • Under the influence of the first system, light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Lakshadweep area, Kerala and coastal Karnataka till 1st June. Special Trains originating from  or running via Eastern Railway system are 02377/02378  Sealdah–New Alipurduar–Sealdah special, 02357/02358 Kolkata–Amritsar--Kolkata  bi-weekly special, 02307/02308 Howrah–Jodhpur–Howrah special,  02381/02382  Howrah–New Delhi-- Howrah tri-weekly  (via-Gaya) special, 02303/02304  Howrah–New Delhi-Howrah (via-Patna) special (4 days a week), 02201/02202  Sealdah–Bhubaneswar– Sealdah (tri-weekly) special, 02023/02024 Howrah–Patna–Howrah special (except Sunday)  and 02213 /02214 Shalimar–Patna--Shalimar  (tri-weekly). These special trains to start running from tomorrow onwards will be operational on their nominated days of run as notified earlier.

In addition to the other existing rules, the following guidelines are to be followed by these Special Trains:
i) Only those passengers will be allowed to board in these trains, who have reservations. No en route passenger will be allowed without reservation. TTEs will not permit any passenger en route, even if berths are vacant. Any vacant berth will be given to RAC passengers only. No passenger without reserved ticket will be allowed to enter Station.
ii) No linen / blanket will be provided. PASSENGERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CARRY THEIR OWN LINEN DURING JOURNEY.
iii) Packaged food / meal, drinking water, beverages may be available  on payment. PASSENGERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR FOOD / DRINKING WATER.  
iv)  Quarantine / screening protocol of State Government to be ensured.
v) Standard health advisory including arrangements for hygiene /cleaning of stations to be followed.
 vi)  Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to travel.
vii) Wearing of face cover/face mask during the journey and downloading of AAROGYA SETU APP in the mobile phone are mandatory.
viii) Passengers are requested to reach the station at least 90 minutes before the departure of the train.

4 Rafale warplanes will be delivered to India by France in July

6 migrant workers killed & 3 injured in road accident in U.P.

Shakuntala also went to Nasik to help Rakesh in various ways. Shakuntala's family was doing well with the light and darkness in the rented hut at Nasik. But a deadly disease has engulfed the whole country. So all of the work actions have stopped. The work has stopped so the income has also stopped, meanwhile their children are growing slowly in Shakuntala's body.

Rakesh has faced great danger. There is no income, all the money in hand has been exhausted.
