Shri Mahanti has worked successfully in his working life. A few days ago, he was in charge of 11 states and 4 union territories of the country. At a time when Corona Atimari was in full swing in the country, he worked with a reputation as a Corona fighter. Not only that, Mahanti has also done an outstanding job in flood situation in four states. He saved the lives of at least 10,000 people.

Aaj Khabor (English), Haldia, West Bengal, 01/02/2021 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate a bunch of infrastructure projects related to oil, gas and roads to the nation on February 7 in Haldia.  Distinguished guests including Governor of West Bengal Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee are expected to be present on the occasion.

Shri Modi will dedicate 347 km long Dovi-Durgapur natural gas pipeline to the nation.  Gayle has completed the Dovi-Durgapur pipeline at a cost of Tk 2,433 crore under the Prime Minister's Energy Ganga project.  During this project 1.5 million working days were created.  As a result, revival of fertilizer factory at Sindri in Jharkhand is possible.  Gas can be supplied to the Matrix Fertilizer Factory in Durgapur, various industrial companies, commercial companies and the car manufacturing industry.  This gas will be supplied to Purulia, Asansol and Durgapur in West Bengal.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Bharat Petroleum Corporation's cooking gas import terminal.  The demand for cooking gas is increasing in Eastern India.  The Prime Minister called for providing eco-friendly cooking gas to every household.  Bharat Petroleum's terminal at Haldia has cost Rs 1,100 crore.  Demand for cooking gas has increased across the country since the launch of the Prime Minister's Ujjwala Yojana.  In West Bengal, where 41.4 per cent households had cooking gas connection in 2014, the figure has risen to 99.5 per cent, according to today's estimates.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate a four-lane flyover over the Ranichke railway line on National Highway 41 in Haldia.  The port of Haldia also carries goods to landlocked Nepal and Bhutan, along with eastern and northeastern India.  The construction of this flyover has cost 190 crore rupees.

On the same occasion, Shri Modi will lay the foundation stone of Catalytic Dwaxing Unit at Indian Oil Corporation's Haldia Oil Refinery.  It will cost 1019 crore.  This company can transport goods with a capacity of 270 MMTPA.  This project will be helpful in the self-reliant India campaign.  These projects will help the Prime Minister fulfill his dream of a sunrise in eastern India.  These projects will help in employment for the youth community of West Bengal.
