Promises ₹3,000 monthly financial aid for women; intensifies political attack on Trinamool Congress in West Bengal
Aaj Khabor (English), Kalna, Burdhaman East, 11/04/2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, alleging widespread corruption and making a major announcement. He said that a “white paper” would be released to present a “full account” of the last 15 years of governance.
Modi alleged that several corruption cases have surfaced during the TMC’s rule, which have hindered the state’s development. He stressed that it is important to transparently disclose how taxpayers’ money has been used.
During his address, the Prime Minister also made a significant promise, stating that if the BJP comes to power in the state, women will receive ₹3,000 per month as financial assistance. He added that the aim of this scheme is to make women financially independent.
The announcements have triggered strong political reactions. With the promise of a white paper on corruption and financial aid for women, the political contest in West Bengal is expected to intensify ahead of the upcoming elections.
