Man held with deer skin and Pangolin scale


Aaj Khabor (English), Siliguri, Darjeeling, 21/11/21 : A man is held Salugara range forest officials with deer skin and 2.1 kilogram pangolin scales. The man was spotted at Odlabari Bypass.

According to the officials of Salugara range, they got particular tips and raid at Odlabari Bypass area. One got arrested and other two escaped from the spot.

The forest officers are investigating further and trying to spot the others by the help of police. Forest officer said that the seized articles came from Assam and were supposed to smuggle to Nepal through Panitanki border. A case has been registered by the forest division, which will be forwarded to Jalpaiguri court.
