Aaj Khabor (English), Surat, Gujrat, 24/09/2020 : Surat's oil refinery and oil extraction center in the grip of a devastating fire. The situation is reported to be under control at the moment.

At around 3:05 am today, three explosions took place at an ONGC plant at Hazira near Surat in Gujarat, followed by a blaze at the plant. At the moment the fire spread to many parts of the plant. It is learned that the fire is under control at the moment as the fire brigade started the work on the spot.

Gujarat BJP president CR Patil said, "Three large explosions took place at the ONGC plant at around 3 am today. Then the whole plant caught fire. The fire brigade is working to put out the blaze. I have received instructions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The fire is under control at the moment. It will be under control soon. " Earlier, a huge fire broke out at an oil refinery in Assam also, which had been raging for some time.
