One L&T militant is held in Kashmir


Aaj Khabor (English), Avantipura, J&K, 02/01/2021 : The security forces caught a Lashkar-e-Taiba ally militant in handcuffs yesterday. The militant was arrested from Avantipura in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Zone Police sources, the arrested person's name is Akif Ahmed Tele. He is a resident of Cherso area of ​​Avantipura. The man was working for the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was actively involved in harboring other militants, transporting weapons, and delivering explosives. His job was to involve local youth in militant organizations. Akif used to work as a militant ally in Avantipura and Tral areas.

Yesterday, the security forces caught the militants spreading a proper trap. Kashmir Zone Police have recovered some objectionable materials and explosives from Akif's custody. Senior Lashkar-e-Taiba commanders had good relations with Akif, police said. Akif is being interrogated.

Meanwhile, we reported yesterday that a 14-year-old boy had crossed the border into Poonch area in ​​Jammu and Kashmir and was caught by the Special Protection Group at the border. The boy was taken into custody yesterday for questioning. Police said today that the boy had inadvertently crossed the border from occupied Kashmir. The boy is being sent back today following the rules.
